Core Values & Policies and Procedures

We believe that your child’s safety is of utmost importance. We require our Grace & Peace Tots, Kids, and Club workers and volunteers to complete MinistrySafe training, a sexual abuse awareness training program, as well as perform background checks on nursery workers. We also employ a police officer to be on-site every Sunday, allowing for an added level of protection for our children.

Our aim is to create the safest place for our children to thrive. This is why we hire a security officer to patrol our premises and why we require background checks for all our paid workers and volunteers. We also want to make it simple for parents to check in their children, identify volunteers, and communicate needs.

Grace, not guilt
Belief, not behaviorism

We want to give our children Christ. We are raising the next generation of Christians and we want them to know and love Jesus. That’s why we make Jesus the hero of every Bible story. We don’t want to motivate them by guilt but teach them to respond to the gracious love of Christ. We want them to trust Jesus, not just to behave well. We want them to feel valued simply because they are created in the image of God.

CHARACTER-FORMING

Discipleship, not just discipline
Maturity, not just memorization

We want our children to be kind, gentle, self-controlled, loving, considerate, honest, and patient, just like we want ourselves to be. So we hope to shape their character to exhibit the fruits of the Spirit even at a young age. We are shepherding their development as young Christians, not simply punishing bad behavior or teaching them to memorize the right answers.

Overall, we want our children to have fun. We want them to be kids because we believe that God loves children and he loves childhood. We hope our children will find community as they grow up with other kids in their class. We want them to be excited about coming to church because they know they will have fun and see their friends. We want our children to love God, love his Word, love each other, and love the Church.

Our Programs

GRACE & PEACE TOTS is our church nursery for children birth to 3 yrs. We provide childcare for this age during our entire worship service.

GRACE & PEACE KIDS is our Children’s Church for Pre-K and Kindergarten. Our Grace & Peace Kids join the worship service for music and then gather for a Biblical lesson with a Grace & Peace Kids team. They will return to the service immediately before communion and offering.

GRACE & PEACE CLUB is a FUN and FELLOWSHIP time for first grade and older. The club meets Sunday mornings at 9am in the Activities Center.

GRACE & PEACE YOUTH: Our youth meet Sunday mornings at 9am in the main building for a spiritual formation class. They also gather on Wednesday evenings for a time of dinner, fellowship, worship, and teaching!
